Overflowing Hope Ministries didn't start in a church, it began in a home, driven by a desire by a home schooled family and their friends to raise thier children to be both God and others-focused.
From Art Projects to Praise Offerings:
Our journey started simply with "Elderly Encounters", creating heartfelt art projects and offering prayers for elderly members of our community who were receiving more bills than good news. As our ministry evolved, this simple service grew into inspirational programs (which we lovingly call Praise Offerings), where participants prayerfully share their God-given gifts—songs, poems, scripture, and artwork—to uplift the spirits of the audience. Our focus remains solely on encouragement, not applause.
Our Mission in Action
Today, Overflowing Hope Ministries is dedicated to bringing light into places that are often overlooked and forgotten. We faithfully serve residents at local shelters, minister in nursing homes, and maintain a core ministry team serving youth within the Department of Juvenile Justice. We do this through a variety of ways, utilizing personalized acts of encouragement, spiritual expressions, and tangible blessings such as pizza parties, crafts, chocolates, and baked goods, to ensure that the joy and peace of Christ truly overflow into the lives of those who need it most.
What began in our homeschool room years ago continues today. We are blessed to serve God with an excellent group of friends, and as the Lord leads, we will follow, ensuring that the joy and peace of Christ truly overflow into our lives and the lives of others.
We are especially proud of our logo, which was designed by one of the boys we ministered to during our visits to the detention center, serving as a constant reminder of the incredible hope and talent found in those often overlooked.
